Irem is an Urban Planner specialized in the field of strategic planning and management plans.

During her years of research and professional experience, she was a Research and Teaching Assistant at the Istanbul Technical University and she was directly involved in many international projects and organizations mainly focused on the challenges associated with the dynamism of Istanbul Metropolitan Area. 

Irem received her Ph.D. in 2013 in the field of Urban and Regional Planning, with a specific focus on Urban Governance, Monitoring and Evaluation in Planning and Management Plans; and a Masters degree on Urban Conservation Management. 

She has been living in London since 2013 and established Urban Strategy Partners with her knowledge of urban planning and urban governance through her experience in multi- cultural, international and ambitious work environments.
